DescriptionThe "Break Permitted Here" (BPH) control character was used in the 1970s for controlling printers and displays (e.g. VT100). A point where a line break may occur. Roughly equivalent to a soft hyphen except that the means for indicating a line break is not necessarily a hyphen. Compare to U+200B ZERO WIDTH SPACE.
