DescriptionThe "Set Transmit State" (STS) control character was used in the 1970s for controlling printers and displays (e.g. VT100). Notifies that data is ready for transfer from a device (ANSI X3.64), or establishes the transmit state in the receiving device (ISO 6429, ECMA-48). Doesn't initiate the actual transmission.
